I’m using ACF pro and ACF forms for creating forms on the frontend, as well as trying out your plugin calculated fields for ACF. The custom fields show up on the frontend but, when I tried adding 2 fields for example, field num1 and field num2 the total field doesn’t show the value on the frontend. If I add the 2 fields in the backend, the total is shown. Is there a way the calculated fields can show on the frontend?

    Hi,

Thanks for your interest in our plugin. In the current version calculations will only occur when editing fields in the backend. I think we’re fairly clear about that on the plugin presentation page, let us know if you think we weren’t.

However. Support for front end calculations is planned for the next release (version 1.3) of this plugin. We’re aiming to have it working for “native” ACF forms created using acf_form() and related functions. It’s currently in testing and our aim is to release it during February this year.

I’m marking this issue as resolved since it’s really a feature request. Again, thanks for you interest!

    Hi again @flamemoon,

We just want to let you know that version 1.2.3 was just released. The main fix in this versions is that calculations in frontend forms created with the built in acf_form() function now works.

We would very much appreciate your feedback on this version. Please let us know if this works as you would expect on your WordPress site.
