Calculated data of tall images not used

If I upload an image with big dimensions, the wordpress-calculated image files of this picture are not used, but the original giant file.

E.g. I upload an image of 2500 x 3212 pixels size, wordpress calculates these files:

• imgname-55×55.jpg
• imgname-142×183.jpg
• imgname-233×300.jpg
• imgname-324×183.jpg
• imgname-467×600.jpg
• imgname-797×1024.jpg

But Origamiez doesn’t use these files, it uses the original tall file.
See the 6th slide in this carousel (makes blank space below the carousel) and the same image as a thumb on this page (the 3rd thumb). The other images are used just fine.

My Media settings are:
Thumbnail: 324×183
Medium: 300×300
Large: 600×600
