    Hi,

I am trying to implement the function of Yoast to calculate the width of a post title, to make sure the title can fully show in Google search results.

I check your document . But cannot find the implementation details.

When calculating the width of the title, I need to know the font style, font size. How you determine these parameters when calculating the width? If Yoast has released some source codes on this, can you show me about that?

    Thank you very much

    Hello @chcw,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. The SEO title width checks if the SEO title has a good length. This assessment checks the SEO title as it appears in the snippet preview and takes into account the content from replacement variables but excludes the separator and the site title replacement variables from the calculation. It doesn’t calculate your font style or font size

Sorry but I don’t understand very well. What is the width limit from Google? I check online and it seems it is 600px. So to make sure the title appears in 600px, there must be a way to convert the characters to the actual width, in such a conversion, we need the font size(in px). For example, in an extreme case, if the font size is very large, say 600px per character, then only one character is allowed for the title. if the font size is very small, say 1px, then you can put hundrends of characters.

I recommend asking the Google Search Central Help Community about Google’s fixed width for SEO titles counted in pixels.
