Hi,

I set up a registration form for a voluntary organization that comes with a yearly member fee. I am planning to add strip as a payment option.

I would like that the price depends on the current date.
Before 30th June – price = 30 EUR
After 30th June – price = 15 EUR

I managed to do this manually with radio buttons, i.e. the user can pick the option full price / half price. While this probably will work as the organization is based on trust, it would be great if the price is just calculated automatically according the current date.

Do you know if this is possible?

I hope you are doing well.

It is a bit tricky but you can use different calculation fields.

You will see 4 calculation fields.

Calculation 1 is only visible if it is before June
Calculation 2 is only visible after a specific day
calculation 3 is a hidden field, it is your final price ( calc1 + calc2 )

Calculation 4 is just to show the result, it will be replaced by your Payment Field.

You can use it on calculation fields to manage your price, now, since calculation expect a math formula, you will see I only used 30+0 & 15+0

Wow @wpmudevsupport12 Patrick! That is impressive and actually quite easy.

What could I do to make the date read only?

I did not use the “prepopulate” feature but only show the current day as default value. That is actually fine, only that the user could change it.

One option would be probably just to “hide” the field – or is there any better option?

Hi @markussss,

Hiding the field would probably be the easiest solution here, some small CSS could do the trick.
You can edit your date field and under “Styling” tab you can add a class like “hide-this-date” for example.

Then you can switch to Appearance tab in your form, scroll down and enable Custom CSS option so you can add CSS like this to hide that specific datepicker field:

```
