    Hi

First of all, thank you for your plugin. I have started using it on all my client websites.

However, we’ve noticed a problem occurring that, after much testing, we’re convinced is related to the caching plugin and the themes we use.

The problem in a nutshell: occasionally our mobile menu incorrectly displays on a desktop device. It happens intermittently.

Our theme developer feels this is the issue: “The way the the theme menu works, it checks for the body class no-touch (only exists for desktop visitors) and touch (for mobile visitors). So, if someone visits the site using mobile, the plugin caches the page. If someone then visits the desktop, they will be presented with the wrong menu. Some caching plugins have options to cache separately, for example W3 Total Cache. Does Comet Cache offer such an option? You could utilize this to ensure everyone sees the page they are expected to.”

We really don’t want to have to remove the Comet Cache plugin and use something else.

Can you please advise on a solution?

  • Hi @craigrkirkby,

I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying the plugin and finding it useful. ??

Comet Cache Pro does provide a Mobile Mode feature that lets you cache the mobile version of the site separately. It sounds like that’s what you’re looking for.

Yeah.>!! am also facing this issue but in a weird way.

I recently enabled AMP and forced AMP on my site for mobile users but whenever someone visits the mobile version other than AMP it caches and serves the non-AMP version from then onwards

As the author said this basic feature is only in pro version better to uninstall the plugin and switch over to better ones.
