• Hi

I am concerned how long it takes the screenshot to load. Am I right to assume once its loaded once it will remain in CACHE and other users will see the image immediately?

Is there some way to force or refresh all the screenshots to load into cache without having any user needing to wait?

    Thank you

    Albert

Hi – the image is created by a third party service (run by wordpress.com). When the image is first requested it will be generated and then cached on the third parties site. This can take a short time because the site has to be loaded in a headless browser, turned into an image, and then scaled & cropped to the right size.

Once the image has been cached it will stay there for a few days, and then the cache will be cleared and a new image will be generated.

I suspect the reason you see the loading the most often is that you are likely the one changing the website and testing the content. I imagine that most of the time users won’t notice it.

There’s no way to make the image load instantly since the process itself is slow. This is just a wrapper for the wordpress.com app so there’s nothing I can do to change how it functions I am afraid.
