    Hi,

I m using a caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache) and I use Photonic to display Google Photo albums on pages and would love to use a caching plugin to help the speed of the site.

However, the API request (I’m not familiar with terms, so I apologize) to the photos is cached too. Apparently this changes every hour or something, so caching doesn’t work.

I’m not sure where to start this issue, but I am looking for a way to ignore the API request but still use the Caching plugin. Please help.

I’ve read in other forums about this issue, but they didn’t seems to answer the question. Thank you in advance!

I just ended up switching to SmugMug.

After much experimentation, I use Lightroom for editing, then the Smugmug Plugin to sync from Lightroom to Smugmug, then Photonic to display my Smugmug Album in WP.

It works a treat and is easy to manage from LR to, update, add/remove images, edit captions and manage a click-and-drag custom display order on Smugmug etc which is honoured on Photonic

I also use the mk Smug Syncback plugin in LR to allow me to make caption/title changes on Smugmug and sync them back to LR. The Smugmug plugin for LR is good, but it didn’t do everything I wanted. I wanted to be able to make changes when I didn’t necessarily have access to my laptop and LR Classic. This plugin fills that gap.

Thank you, this is exactly what I ended up doing and it works like a charm!
