After several phone calls for support and a ticket at Siteground, with several attepts to fix things, there are so many errors now with this plugin for our website that Siteground itself deactivated it for us, and I deactivated it at my dashboard. To be clear, it all worked fine up until December 3 2018, which is when the all the problems started appearing.

This plugin now appears to be incompatible with several other plugins, and testing does not appear complete. As soon as they would say it’s all fixed, I would go in and get the same issues and errors. I don’t know what happened because there were so many issues and errors. All I know is, I had to deactivate this plugin in order for our website to work properly again.

I would like to know when all of these issues do finally get resolved. The team at Siteground indicated there are several issues all around US websites.

Can you share a bit more details about what exactly is not working? We’re working hard and fix every reported issue but can’t do much without detailed feedback.

In 5.0.4 new functionality is not enabled by default so caching alone should be working perfectly fine.

Note, that in such cases, posting a ticket in your Help Desk is the best approach. Over the phone it would be really difficult to troubleshoot plugins.

@hristo-sg, actually, Siteground did post a ticket. So at this point, I believe they are working on all the issues. We had conflicts with caching programs, A3 Lazy Load, notices at the top that would not go away, and basically whatever SG Optimizer was doing was breaking our website so it would show a black screen or a white screen or just garbage. At this point it is deactivated, and I’m not a programmer, so for now we are avoiding this plugin. I don’t know how else to help you all. It worked fine for us up until December 3, 2018, when you went to your latest update. Then I see a flurry of fixes and none of them helped our website at all.

Notices that won’t go away were fixed right away. As to compatibility with lazy load and other caching solutions, either disable them or disable our functionality regarding that matter. Actually, we’ve placed checks and disabled everything detected. The latest version should work just fine. Make sure you haven’t enabled things that you don’t need or conflict with other plugins.

@hristo-sg, sorry, but our website is loaded with plugins. How am I supposed to know which plugins your SG Optimizer now won’t work with, when it had been working prior to December 3, 2018? Is there anyone at your organization who can look at our website and tell me exactly which plugins are no longer compatible with your plugin? And honestly, I’m having a hard time trying to understand why I would disable plugins that seem to be working well, when it actually appears that SG Optimizer has now been causing all kinds of errors and issues for our website, and for other websites as well as noted here in the Support forum?

We have added a lot of new functionality to the plugin, thus the number of other plugins that cause issues has incrase. I would disable all new functionality of SG Optimizer or all other plugins that you have duplicate functionality for – like Lazy Loadiung for example.

We ship the plugin with everything “extra” disabled by default so it should not cause problems. Idealy, you would remove 3-4-5 plugins from your site and use only ours which should save you resources and generally improve your site. However, I completely understand that this is not possible in every way.
