    Hi there.

    Today I contacted my host because my site is a bit slow and I’m getting a 502 error very often.

    They said me that:

    ‘It looks like the server is not properly caching the site. I’m looking into what could be causing that right now

    One or more of the following plugins could be the cause:

    wpmudev-updates
    sitepress-multilingual-cms
    simple-sitemap
    wp-meta-and-date-remover

    I would recommend going through those plugins as you may need to contact their developer and ask them if it’s possible “

    Can you help me with that, please?

    I haven’t received any reports of performance issues and the plugin is active on over 80,000 sites so unless your sitemap contians 1000’s of items I’d say the issue lies elsewhere.

    Also, the sitemap is active only on the pages you specifically added it to so if your seeing slow performance on all pages then it’s definitely not related to Simple Sitemap.
