• I set up a new site using Thesis, and redirected my DNS pointers away from the old host and site. For everybody else, it works perfectly: they see the shiny new site as intended. But for me, when I type the domain name, the old site comes up, and typing abbymcdonald.com/wp-admin only gives me a 404 error message from the old site.

I need to get in to do, well, pretty much everything: update content, play with the design some more, etc, and generally run my site.

    I’ve already tried:
    -clearing cache, cookies, browser histories.
-uninstalling and reinstalling both firefox and chrome
    -restarting the computer
    – going to run, then doing /flushdns several times.

But still, I type in abbymcdonald.com, I get the old site (green) rather than new (blue and peach, wordpress)
    What am I missing?
    Thanks!

  • What browser are you using? Do you have any page load ‘accelerators’ running?

Well I’m seeing your site using the Thesis theme (but not sure of your color descriptions of green vs. blue and peach).

Could be the DNS your internet provider uses is not yet updated.

I’d say try another computer. Also might try turning off your cable modem (or whatever piece of equipment).

I see the right page too. Resetting your modem and router is a good idea. I meant to mention that myself.
