    On every other caching plugin, the cache of a particular page is deleted after the an update of the content. With hummingbird, I only have the option to purge the whole cache of all pages and posts.

    Did I miss something or is this intended?

    Is there no way to refresh the cache of that particular page?

  • Hello @coholm

    I hope all is well!

    Please go to Hummingbird > Caching > Page Caching and enable option Clear full cache when post/page is updated. Please see this screenshot:

    This way the cached will be cleared after page/post update.

    Have a good day and take care!

    Cheers,

    Is it not possible only clear the cache of the page that has been updated? I don’t want to clear the whole cache as it slows down the website for the next few days until the cache is rebuild.

    @coholm,

    Cache for the page/post is cleared on content update automatically.

    Best regards,
    Anton

    @vanyukov

    the automatic cache clearing of the page that is updated, doesn’t work for me?
    After the update, the cached version is still in place.

    Hi @coholm

    Are you sure that Hummingbird’s Page Cache is the only cache on site – no other caching plugin or cache built-in into other plugin or the theme and no server-side cache?

    Surprisingly often this is the case and it interferes.

    Also, just to make sure, that cached version that stays in place – is it on a post/page directly or rather on post/category/tabs archive (listing) pages?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    I have no other caching plugin installed. There is no other kind of caching in place.

    Before I used hummingbird, I used wp-rocket and wp-optimiye premium, and both worked well in regards to clearing a single page cache after update.

    The problem occurs on pages/posts.

    Hello @coholm

    Just to be sure, are you using the Automatic option in Hummingbird -> Caching -> Settings -> File Change Detection?

    Please advise!

    Thank you,

    It is set to Manual Notice. Should I change it to automatic?

    Hello @coholm

    I hope you are doing well!

    I’ve tested this issue on my end and could not replicate this issue. Cache as cleared on post/page after an update. Are you using any kind of CDN, or Cloudflare services?

    Is there is a cache enabled on a server end, like Object or Varnish cache?

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
