Hey team, Hope you’re having a great day! Wondering if you can help: I’ve got the cache setup and working all greatly, aside from the fact that it will not automatically purge the cache when a post (any post type) is updated. I’ve tried with the default post type and pages, as well as events from The Events Calendar, and also from within the page builder (Cornerstone by Themeco, only used on page post type).

I’ve tried with the “Disable cache purging using queue” setting both enabled/disabled. The logs only show the cache being purged when I manually click “Purge Cache” or “Purge Cache for this page only”.

Hoping you can point me in the right direction. Thanks

    Hey,

I just tried this now on my side and it works properly, both for disk and cloudflare cache. Are you using the latest version?

@ionutn – thanks for confirming it’s working on your end! Can you tell me – if there is a cache clear on post update, should that show in the logs? If so, what do the logs looks like for that?
I’ll have another play on my end and see if I can get to the bottom of it once you’ve confirmed the above.

    Hey,

Yes, I then get this in logs : [2024-11-18 08:19:01] [cache_controller::purge_cache_on_post_edit] Purge Cloudflare cache for only post id 1089 and related contents – Fired action: clean_post_cache.

My cache is not cleared when publishing or deleting/draft, since the option “Automatically purge the Cloudflare’s cache when something changes on the website” was removed from the plugin, only a full manual purge helps. I rolled back some sites to 5.0.4, and there are some that are still working on 4.7.13

@somersby – you legend. Going back to 5.0.4 works. Thanks heaps for that fix!

For reference @ionutn – both 5.0.7 and 5.0.8 didn’t work. I’m running WP 6.7 on Cloudways. Not marking as resolved yet as the latest versions don’t seem to work as expected.
