cache not clearing

Hi,

The public page my site delivers is an old version; no matter if I clear the Autoptimize cache (or even disable it) and of course clearing browser cache, I’m unable to update the public site.
The one I’m seeing and edited is fine.

What can be causing this strange behaviour?
Can I manually clear the cache from FTP or should I try reinstalling the plugin?
