Cache miss on first time visit

    Hi guys,

    We have the following problem with Litespeed Cache. We get a cache miss on first time visit. If we load that page again we get a hit. The problem is that most users wont access a page twice. The cache works for a period of time (lets say an hour) and then we get a miss again. We tested this with chrome incognito mode and edge.

    We dont have crawlers set up yet, but dont know if this will solve the issue. We are on a shared hosting and the say that the crawlers could use 1 or 2 cores of power.

    Cache is reset is set to default (a week). We also have Guest Mode active, but we tried also without this option. Also we have Cloudflare active but recently pause it to test this but no luck.

    So if anyone can help thanks in advance!

    This and only this solve it, because the essential way how every cache works is that a URL must requested at least once to get it cached, but it doesn’t matter who does the first request, either a user or by crawler or a bot or whatever.

    The problem is that the caches resets after a short period of time, even if we or the crawlers visit the website. I think the crawlers should visit the website every hour or even less to make a difference. And this could use to many resources I guess.

    You can adjust how long cache should be alive. If it costs too much load this is not the problem of the crawler. You have either too much plugins installed or your server is not strong enough to handle the too much data of your WP installation. If you use a cache this does only mask the problems of you have with a server that is not strong enough. You want more speed? Okay, speed is not for free. It costs money if you have to invest in a stronger server. Sorry, this is only truth.
