Hi, while the plugins worked relatively fine in my first tests, I encountered quickly some caching issues.
With W3 total cache, despite the creation of a Cookie groupe as explained

    pda_protect_password
    wp-postpass-role_*

I still see the “not well configured” red flag.

I finally disabled this password plugin totally because I had too many caching issues. Even after deactivating all custom cache plugins I saw some issues. Maybe is the cache hold on server side without any ability to clean this up (it’s a shared hosting) ?

I changed of strategy to show a blank page at homepage instead for now.

  • Hi @tdechangy,

Thanks for reaching out to us last night.

Actually, the latest Free version of our Password Protect WordPress (PPWP) works nicely with W3 Total Cache without any extra cookies configurations.

Our team has just done another test and it works correctly on our side.

It could be a cache issue on yours.

Can you please drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com with some sample URLs so that we can take a look and troubleshoot the issue quickly for you?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

For now I switched to another solution and couldn’t take time to reactivate this very specific feature/plugin.

I’ll write back if someday I have to address the same problem.

    Regards.
