    Hello,

I’m getting the “Popup Maker detected an issue with your file system’s ability and is unable to create & save cached assets for your popup styling and settings. This may lead to suboptimal performance. Please check your filesystem and contact your hosting provide to ensure Popup Maker can create and write to cache files.” message.

I’ve read your Debugging article and completed point 1, 2, 3 and 5 (I don’t have access to test point 4), everything appears normal. I’ve seen in other post you mention disabling asset caching in Popup maker settings, I’m using Autoptimize, should I do that?

I’ve also downloaded the error log, let me know if you need it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @cgrignon

Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry you have trouble with creating and saving the cached files.

We think it is connected to the file permission in your wp-content folder.

Could you please reach out to your hosting and ask to check the following:

    – Firewall settings/ file permission, and exclude the file path https://yourdomain.com/wp-content/uploads/pum/; and
    – Check the version of cURL and update it to the latest version

We hope that helps. Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

    Hi Bel,

I just checked with my developer and everything is in order. Should I disable asset caching?

    Thanks

    Hi @cgrignon,

If you have a caching plugin active on your website then yes, you disable asset caching under your Popup Maker > Settings > Misc and then re-check the site.
