Cache Directories (www.domain / domain)

    I have a site using ZenCache (Lite version) and for the most part it is working as expected.

    There are two directories in my http directory
    1. www-domain.com
    2. domain-com

    The www-domain-com directory does not appear to be updating/clearing. I cleared my cache via the WP Admin/ZenCache page and checked the folders via FTP.

    Is anyone else having similar issues, and if so how did you resolve the issue?

  • Zencache creates it’s own directory and clears only that cache directory. When the cache is rebuilt it is rebuilt to that same directory.

    That default directory is in the /wp-content folder.

    Should Zencache be clearing those directories you mentioned?

    What should it be clearing for you?

    ZenCache uses the URL to determine the hostname and uses that hostname to create a directory inside wp-content/zencache/cache/http/. If you have the www-version of your domain redirecting to the non-www version, then ZenCache might’ve seen some URLs come in via the www version and generated that directory before the redirect occurred.

    When clearing the cache, ZenCache uses whatever domain you have configured as your Site URL inside Dashboard → Settings → General.
