Cache control policy not working on media files?

  • Hi,

    I’m just curious if anyone has experienced an issue where images do not get the proper cache control policy from the browser cache settings page. In particular I am getting “private, must-revalidate, max-age=86400” despite having max age (31536000) and validation in the “media & other files” settings. The htaccess appears to show the correct time and other types of files do work.

    Is this somehow related to HTTPS or another server setting perhaps? Is there some other setting in W3TC?
