Do you happen to know if clearing site cache will result in the cookie that is stored for a pop up to be removed as well? Ordinarily I would think this wouldn’t be the case, but I’ve noticed my pop up showing again after I’ve cleared my site (not browser) cache. So I’m concerned about this.

    Thanks.

    Hi @qwik3r

    Thank you for writing in!

Clearing the site cache will not result in cookies being reset. Please note that the cookies are not stored on the popup but on your browser.

I suggest if you want the popup to display always on your site, is to remove the cookie on the trigger settings. You could also adjust the time of the cookie to a shorter time so that it will reset automatically on the user’s browser.

For more insights, kindly refer to our documentation – ‘Cookie Settings — General’ option settings box

    I hope that helps.

The problem is not me wanting to see the pop up always, it’s that it IS showing frequently to me over again despite the fact that I set a 1 month cookie and it should be triggered by hitting the X/close button.

    Hello @qwik3r

    Thank you for your reply.

It seems there’s confusion when using a cookie on the popup. Since the popup has a cookie set to 1 month when the popup closes it will re-display after the cookie expiration which is one month. Please be advised that the cookie controls the repeated display of popups in the browser and the cookies are stored in a browser.

If you would like the popup to always display on your site, please delete the cookies on the trigger settings. But before previewing the popup, please clear the cookies, cache and history on your browser.
    Please see this example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/geupREXZ

Let us know if that fixes the issue or if you need further assistance.

    Have a great day!

You’re still not getting it mate. IT’s showing when it shouldn’t be. I set it to 1 month and it’s still showing. I’ll just email support.
