My sender is a gmail account and when I test the form with one of my domain specific email addresses in the submission field, the web form works perfectly and sends the submission to my designated gmail account.

Whenever I try testing the web form with a @cs.com or @aol.com the web form never sends the message even though it says sent successfully.

So my client is only getting some of his visitors contact attempts. It appears that the web form is selective. I’ve tried both using the WordPress default and the WP SMTP plugin. Nothing seems to work correctly.

Any idea on where the blocking may occur?

  • Some hosting requires that any emails being sent via WordPress are from a valid email address on your local domain.

See Contact Form 7 Email Issues. There is a link at the bottom of the page to a comprehensive and detailed article which covers your issue.
