C7 doesnt work with WP 5.7 !?

  • Hi,

    the Plugins runs some years very well. Thanks for this great plugin guys!
    But since some weeks it stops to work anymore.

    I believe since upgrading to wp 5.7 it doesnt work.
    When I try to send a Email I see only the message:
    “Die Nachricht konnte nicht gesendet werden. Bitte versuchen Sie es noch einmal zu einem sp?teren Zeitpunkt oder informieren Sie den Administrator der Webseite.”
    with a red border.

    Currently I have installed the version:
    5.4

    I also tried to downgrade to:
    5.3.2, 5.3

    But all with the same result.

    I also tried to deactive these plugins:
    – WP Super Cache
    – Honeypot for Contact Form 7
    But also the problem doesnt gone.

    I installed:
    – Check & Log Email
    To test if mails could send. But these work as expected. So no general mail problem.

    I also tried to activate the debug mode:
    define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
    define(‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, true);
    define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);

    But this doesnt work… i didnt see any error and the debug.log isnt created ??
    Also in my webserver error.log isnt any error.

    Is there anything else that I can do or can you help me please?

    I have removed the contact-form from the contact page because it didnt work currently.

    We in our organisation have been using Contact form 7 for emailing customers intresst to our mailbox. This is now having a problem in the sending phase.

    We can do the submit and the spinning wheel occurs. Nothing happens on the form.

    The Mail is sent and can be multiple debending on how long time the CV 7 has been active.

    From outher infos in this subject we have a strong feeling for CV7 have a problem with the WP5.7 I still have a testsite with wp5.4 which works. Spinning wheel for some seconds and then a green message of success.

    We have no idees of how to get this to work.

    Same for me. With WP Version 5.5.3 c7 works like a charm. After WP update to 5.7 none of my mail forms work anymore.

    “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

    So I downgraded to WP 5.5.3 again and c7 works again.

    c7 has definetly problems with WP 5.7

    I still have this error and I dont understand why this thread was marked as resolved….

    I downgrade to wp 5.6.3 and C7 work, but other sites 5.7.2 doesn’t work. And not only C7, other plugins that use SMTP also don’t work, mail functionality.

    Since the release of WP 5.7.1 the C7 have a problem with the mail.
    After form is sent it is hold with the spinning wheel and several mails are sent up to the time you abort the WEB.
    We don′t know of the fix need to be in WP or CV.
    Please let us know if any improvemts is comming.
