Byethost Setup- database issues

  • I am trying to set-up wordpress on Byethost, and am having an install.php problem. I have created a database, and fully edited install.php, but when i run install.php from byethost, i get this message”Can’t select database
    We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the b12_2823695_Wordpress database.

    Are you sure it exists?
    Does the user b12_2823695 have permission to use the b12_2823695_Wordpress database?”
    Can anyone help? Thanks

    You shouldn’t need to edit install.php…if you have a Cpanel account, see the following…even if you don’t have Cpanel it may help you better understand the install process.
