Good plugin, but bye bye Mandrill

    Not happy with the way Mandrill now force users to have a MailChimp account. Might not have minded if the payment structure was reasonable. So this plugin – once really useful – is no longer worthwhile.

    But… if you don’t mind the account / payment structure, it does work very well.

  • Why would you rate this poorly because you don’t agree with the payment structure? You are rating the plugin, not the payment structure. You should voice your frustrations with mailchimp/mandrill, not the plugin. If you really think Mandrill was useful then why not support it and pay for it?

    Reviews like this should be flagged down and removed. It’s not fair for everyone else who is trying to find a reliable plugin.

    Fair point, and in the review I did mention that the plugin itself works well. So I’ll increase the plugin’s rating.

    It is unfortunate for you that your efforts get sabotaged by events beyond your control.

    Thanks. And I do understand your frustration behind the change, especially if you had used Mandrill freely for an extended period of time.
