Buyer Beware

UPDATE FOLLOWS THE ORIGINAL POST:
————–ORIGINAL—————-
I started off with the Business Elite theme thinking I would get all of the facilities shown in the demo. I did not. Like others, I soon learned that I had to upgrade to the Pro version.
My big mistake was paying $40 to them for a poorly constructed theme. For example, I couldn’t enable the slider for the homepage alone – I had to put the slider on all pages or none. Here’s their answer:The problem is, that WordPress frontpage and site homepage are actually not the same thing, although they do seem to be the same.
They then told me that if I gave them Admin access, they’d so something to fix it – I told them I was not in a position to open my site to logins from Armenia, and that I was perfectly capable of patching the code if they gave me the patch.
Their response was to try to hack into the site. This is completely unacceptable in my view.
I urge you to be very careful before becoming involved with these people.
————–UPDATE—————-
After many days of going back and forth, the slider issue was resolved. Other issues remain. Apparently they implement columns by inserting styled paragraph tags. This imposes limitations on the content of columns. They sent me html and css for a manual workaround, but if you have to insert your own, what’s the point of having shortcodes? Since then, they have repeated asked me to upgrade my review.
