Buttons Not Working Properly

  • Hi there,

    I recently updated to the above version and certain things appear not to be working now.

    For example, I am trying to write a new post. The post text adds fine but certain button will not work.

    1.When I try to make a piece of text a link I click on the button and nothing happens.
    2. I can type text in to the tags box but when I click the Add button nothing happens. Also if I click the “Choose from the most used tags” nothing happens either.
    3. I can’t add media to the blog. Everytime I click the button, nothing happens.
    4. If I click the “Text” tab at the top, nothing happens.

    I would appreciate any suggestions as to what I have done wrong.

  • Check the server requirements for current version of WordPress with your host.

    Also, what local browser/version/OS are you using?

    If it is a modern browser with javascript enabled (and not blocked by an AV product or Firewall), clear your browser cache.

    I tried clearing the cache but that didn’t work.

    Have you tested same with Safari and Chrome? Can you test from another computer (with diff OS/browser) to see if it works there?

    For better support for your local setup, head over to the their support, but after reading several discussions there just now, be clear on this: JAVA and Javascipt are not the same (there seems to quite a bit of confusion with Mac users on this).

    As for your host, did you actually contact them and verify what is running in your host account (or assume the link told you that?)?

    BTW, your host link has a well known issue with odd characters being shown in the urls at the end (from a plugin)…Noting such, you may want to review this host’s performance/reliability, especially in light of the brute force attacks…
