Buttons not working and things disappearing

  • Hello all.

    I’m new to the forum and was wondering if you could help me out a bit…

    I currently run a music website https://www.new-reviews.co.uk and have had a few problems with WordPress in the time I have been using it.

    Just recently the quick edit button has decided to stop working, and as I have a few logins on the site, I wanted to add something up on someone else’s behalf.
    Then all my posts disappeared off of the site, but were there in my dashboard. It then classed them all as uncategorised, and I couldn’t click quick edit to put them back. The categories then disappeared and it wouldn’t allow to me to create more.

    A few hours later the categories returned, and the posts went back to being in their categories… But quick edit still won’t work? And when I do click edit, there is nothing in the text box what so ever. But the text for whatever the post is is displayed on the site!

    Any help will be much appreciated! I am looking to take my website out of WordPress if I continue to have problems… Does anyone know of an easy way to transfer what I have in WP to another software?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – repairing your database

    this didnt work for me,

    here is my issue. Please help.

    On my site I have a button that links to a sign up form for our wellness membership.

    The button is not showing up on the website, or rather its shows up for a second, then disappears, but only the outline of it. If you refresh the page, it shows up for a second.

    the button is above the words, “Download Membership Form”

    Same thing happens for the intake form on the other page. The button is not visible.

    it should be below the words,”Please fill out the Massage Intake Form Online.”

    What could be the issue, when I have checked the forums, everyone has problems, but no solutions.

    I tried to upgrade everything, only plugin not upgraded is google xxl, and it wont let it update, I dont know why.
