Buttons not working

I have encountered an issue where none of my editing buttons, the “Add Media” button, the link buttons, or anything else works on my post and page editing areas. Right now I am having to manually type in all of my coding for the webpage, which, while I can do it, is extremely tedious. When I do click on a button, the only change that happens is in the address bar, where a # shows up at the end of the address, but nothing else. I have searched the forums, but haven’t seen anything that I can figure out how to fix this (the information I found applied for 3.5). What can I do to fix this problem so I can more efficiently use my WordPress site?
