Buttons not working

On the Awesome Font examples page:
https://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/examples/
there are some buttons which it says can be inserted into a page using this:<a class="btn" href="#"> <i class="icon-repeat"></i> Reload</a>However, this doesn’t work in WordPress.
Any ideas how to get it to work?
