Buttons not showing (Menu, Slider)

    Hallo,

    my site with the Nikkon theme worked fine the past few years but over the past weeks now, some system images seem to have “disappeared”. Up to now, I have noticed this with the mobile menu button (hamburger button) and the forward/backward buttons of the homepage slider. For the latter, the mobile site shows boxes that are crossed out (it does the same with the menu button). The desktop version shows little rectangles with letters and numbers too small to read. I have uploaded a screenshot of the mobile version here:

    I have not changed my browser or anything and I have had different people check on their devices so pretty sure this is not a problem with my browser settings. Is this something I can solve myself with some theme/wordpress settings?

  • Hello there,

    I realized same on my current project. None of the Fontawesome Icons are showing up anymore. A solution might be to rename the Fontawesome prefix from “fas” to “fa” in themes editor.
    For example:
    Rename “fas fa-shopping-cart” to “fa fa-shopping-cart” and save changes. I am just trying to get this fixed on my site, too, but am facing difficulties with my caching.
    ATTENTION: As long as you aren’t working on a childtheme, these changes will get lost with next theme update. Hopefully the developer of this theme is already working on a solution.

    UPDATE:
    Go to Customizer -> Plugin Support and check Social Icons. This should fix the issues.

    Wow thank you SO MUCH! The Social Icons one did the trick. Website is finally back to normal, yay!
