    Hi

    I am testing your plugin, the only functionality I was really looking for is a way for the user to download the data, or delete their account (although the theme has that functionality to delete account).

    When i click the download button in table or json format I get a message

    We have received your request and will reply within 30 days.
    You are identified with (my email address)

    But nothing comes to the email, nothing is downloaded.

    Please assist, thank you

    Hi there!

    It looks like you have configured the plugin to notify via email if someone wishes to access or delete their data. Which email did you use and did you get a notification on that email address?

    If you’d like data to be downloaded or deleted automatically, you can configure this via Tools > Privacy.

    No I checked I have it set to automatically download data.
    I received no email at the email address of the test user

    Hmm, strange, I just did a sanity check with the latest version of the plugin and it seems to work as expected.

    Can you please send me a screenshot of the admin settings under Tools > Privacy?

    Strange. I managed to reproduce the issue, but I can’t imagine what might be causing it.

    Do you have any caching plugins enabled? If yes, then it is likely the culprit.

    If not, then can you please try updating to the latest version of the plugin (1.0.5) and re-saving the settings? If it still doesn’t work, then I’d ask you to create a temporary admin account for me (preferably in a staging environment) so I could log in and debug.

    Not in our staging environment, we have latest, no caching, we enable caching on live production, but even turned off it is not working.
    Maybe I have a plugin conflict

    I went a head and deactivated all non-essential plugins but still do not see it working

    Here is the fix for everyone,

    I went to tools:privacy and checked settings was correct to download data, so I just re-saved settings.

    Now the download buttons works. Maybe something in setup wizard did not complete happened on two sites.
