• When starting on the top page on the main page of posts, I would expect the “next” button to take me to the second post on the page, and hitting “next” again should take me to the third, etc.

However, this is not how this plugin works. Hitting “next” takes you to I don’t know which. I believe the “next” and “previous” are tied into the post number so it takes you through them in chronological order. This is not how the main page shows all the posts so this is not a convenient behavior.

Without the option to sync the prev/next buttons to the same sequencing as the main page, this is not a convenient function.

This seems like support ticket, don’t understand the negative review!

By default post and pages are ordered by date published under All Post/Pages.

The plugin navigation previous and next buttons are programmed to go the adjacent posts by ID. You can also search the titles and go a certain post.

    Thanks,

My review is only my opinion of a plugin, which includes settings, GUI, UX, usability, convenience, etc. This plugin only has one purpose, which is to make my admin tasks easier and more convenient and it has failed at this one simple thing.

IF in order to use the plugin properly, I have to sort the main posts page by date published, then it’s not convenient or a good user experience.

In every WordPress installation I have ever used, no matter what theme, the default sorting column of PAGES is title (alphabetical), not date published. Also keep in mind that post sorting on any main posts page regardless of post type can be re-sorted by various columns by the user at any time, thereby completely disconnecting how one expects this plugin to navigate through posts.

If the plugin is also not “connected” or in sync with PAGES, or other post types using any other column besides “date published”, then this whole thing needs to be reconsidered, in my opinion.

If this is fixed in a future version, let me know and I will happily retract or modify my review.
