Buttons chopped off after latest update

  • I recently updated ShareThis on my web site and now all the buttons except G+ are reduced in height.

    Some observations:
    -I tried changing my theme to 2013 and the buttons still behaved the same.
    -The buttons look correct in the ShareThis settings area in the dashboard.
    -If I use the square button style they display at the correct size.

    Any idea what’s going on?

    I’ve found the cause. It looks like there is a clash between Podlove Web Player plugin and the ShareThis plugin.

    Unfortunately, I don’t know how to determine which plugin is actually at fault so I guess I need to start looking for another audio player.

    We have checked after installing the “Podlove Web Player” Plugin, but the ShareThis Plugin is properly working and showing-up the Buttons on our site.
    Still we are observing the behavior of the plugin as there could some other reason behind the buttons gets chopped off.

    Your result surprises me. I have a test site where I only installed Podlove web player and ShareThis. That site exhibits the same problem.

    I just installed on a blog and am experiencing the same problems. Not using the podlove plugin or anything that seems like an obvious conflict.

    It is also hanging on a request for “b.scorecardresearch.com” for a very long time before the Facebook Like button shows up and there were 2 errors in console from Facebook, but I removed the Like button and it didn’t resolve anything.

    The them I’m using has the CSS property -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; set. When I disable the property in the Chrome Inspector the issue goes away.

    I believe this theme is using the Foundation CSS framework

    Just inspected OP’s website, looks like the Podlove player CSS has the following properties set as well:
    -webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
    box-sizing: border-box;

    Will there be a patch posted, or should we find a workaround?

    Hello Mike,

    For a workaround you can disable these properties at your end by editing the css in your existing code. We will update these feature in the future plugin release.
