Buttons are not rendering on checkout page

I do not believe you will get any button if you have not connected to PayPal yet. This plugin works in a different way than its predecessors; it sends details to the PayPal server during the order creation and the buttons are then generated by PayPal, sent to your site and visualized in the PayPal iFrame. So in this plugin, you cannot see any buttons if the PayPal account has not been connected.

If you don’t want to connect your live account yet for some reason, you can use a sandbox account in order to test it first. You can get such an account here: https://developer.paypal.com/home

It could be that the Connect button did not add your API keys and other data correctly.

You can use the manual mode to enter these by clicking on the link below the Connect button.

sometimes the wizard connection option might take a few attempts to get the established correctly. We do however advise you to try the wizard first before trying using the manual connection option since that option does not always get all webhooks established and can cause other issues.
