    Hello,

    I am using this plugin for some time now and it was working before. Now i got no clue what happened. I two two problems. On our shop/merchandise page I can still add a product to the cart but I won’t let me update the Quantity anymore. When I change the Quantity and press Enter it resets the cart to Zero. AI also can’t add another product to the cart. All it does, it replaces the one which is already in there. (URL: https://www.kaluzamusic.com/merchandise-shop/)

    The second problem I got: I created a new page, which only should be live for a little while to sell baseball caps, which we have on pre-sale. I offer 3 choices of shipping – Einfach (Standard) / Nachverfolgbar (Traceable) / Versichert (Insured) – and created 2 buttons for that. When I click on either one them, nothing will be added to the Cart at all.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

    This usually happens for one of the following reasons.

    #1) The PHP Session on the site is not working (PHP session is not
    setup correctly by the hosting provider).

    #2) The site has some kind of caching somewhere so it is showing the
    cached page (which doesn’t contain the cart).

    If you fix the above issue, it should also fix your second problem.

    On this page https://www.kaluzamusic.com/corona-cap-2020/ it won’t show the cart, but on our main shop page it does. On the main shop page though it qon’t update the Quantity. Really weired. I just had some orders of more than one product coming in a week or so ago. Now out of the sudden it stopped working.

    I am not using a cache plug in, because that is too much for me to set up right. LOL

    I will contact my hosting provider and see what they say about the php session. See what they say. ??

    Hi,

    i was asking my hosting provider about the php session. They would like to know which change on their PHP setting that may need? They said they have no problem to do it, if they would know what the plugin does requires.

    Could you let me know, please?

    Also, I just discovered another confusing thing today which i haven’t seen before.

    The paypal payment options seem to be different with some browsers. With Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge it shows me “SEPA Lastschrift “SEPA Direct Debit)”, which is supposed to be and with Safari and Firefoy it shows me “Paypal CRDIT” instead. Also I have a different set of available Cards shown.

    Do you know what this is about?

    I have never heard of that before. Do you have a cache plugin installed in your site? Do you have other shopping cart plugins running in your site?

    Also, do you have PayPal IPN set up? Please check the following documentation how-to-setup-paypal-ipn for more information.

    Hi,

    I have no caching plugin and I tested if any other plugin might cause these things. So I deactivated everything but it still didn’t update the quantity.

    About a week and a half or 2 weeks ago it all seemed to have worked fine . We received a purchase of both of our CD’s. Now I can’t even put put of them to the cart. If i try one replaces the other.

    About the Payment option, i find that strange too. But it was like that today. I can make you screenshot, if you like. Like I said, i got no caching plugin and also no other Shopping plugin. The theme comes with woocommerce but i never activated it.

    Can you carry out a test. Can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Nineteen? Then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.

    Hi, I tried to make a purchase and increase the amount and it won’t let me. There is some issue going on in your site.

    I am using this plugin for some time now and it was working before. Now i got no clue what happened.

    Because the plugin was working before and it stopped working now. This means that something changed in your site or your server. Therefore this requires further investigation and it is beyond the scope of this free support. I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your issue.

    Since that purchase i had, which i told you, i didn’t changfe anything excvept the regular plugin and the wordpress update.

    Could the wordpress update caused that?

    I really hope I can get this plugin back to work again. I really like it and it is more than enough for those few Merch Products we have.

    Hi, you can check the status in your site. Go to Tools -> Site Health -> Status to start assessing your site status. This will let you know if there is any problems in your site.

    I can confirm that it is a PHP session or Caching related issue on the site. To me it looks more like a PHP Session issue.

    The plugin is working fine with the latest version of WordPress (v5.4.1). I have already verified and tested all our plugin on latest version of WordPress.

    You may have added a plugin recently that is messing up your PHP session now. Or your hosting provider may have updated server software or PHP configuration which broke the PHP session functionality. Focus on what changes were made to the site when this broke. That might help you track the issue. Not much more we can do from our end since the issue is external to the plugin.

    Hi mra13,

    thanks for confirming that it doesn’T has to do with the update to the latest WP version.

    Like I said about. I disabled all other plugins and it was still not updating the quantity. I haven’t installed any new Plugin for a along time now. And there must have something happen since the last 2 weeks (roughly), when i receive the last order of both article in the shop. And the only change was the wordpress update since then.

    Hopefully my hosting provider can help me with the php session. Maybe they had changes on their end.
