Button title displaying in (the_excerpt)

    Hey there,

    Firstly thank you for an awesome plugin.

    I have added a button title to the PDF ‘Print Recipe’ and it works well at the top of the post, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see that the text is also printing before the excerpt in the teaser text of all of the related posts…

    If you go to the main blog page at https://www.affordablewholefoods.com.au/blog-recipes/ you will see it is printing there also.

    Would you be able to provide support on how to fix this?

    Thank you for contacting us!

    Please complete the following steps in order to detect the problem and find its solution:

    1) Try to activate a standard WordPress theme for a while (Twenty Fourteen, Twenty Fifteen or Twenty Sixteen) and check if the problem remains.
    2) Try to deactivate all of your plugins except PDF & Print and also check if the problem is still present. If it is not, activate the plugins one-by-one, meanwhile checking, after which plugin activation the problem appears again.

    Let us know about the results.

    Hey,
    Thanks for your email. I tried out Twenty Sixteen and Twenty Seventeen, and tried deactivating the other plugins on the site, but this didn’t solve the issue. The Print Recipe and the PDF icon were both coming through on the default wordpress themes, except that they were being rendered as a functional shortcode. What is happening is that our website theme seems to be stripping out the shortcode from the excerpt, but leaving the ‘Print Recipe’ title.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce this problem on our local environment. Please provide the access credentials to your WordPress admin dashboard (with Administrator’s permissions) and the FTP credentials (host, username, and password), in order to detect the reason and find the solution.

    During making tests we’ll probably deactivate some of your plugins or switch the theme. That’s why before giving the access, we recommend you to make a full backup of your site.

    Since this data is confidential, maybe, it would be better if you create a private ticket on our support forum (https://support.bestwebsoft.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). Please include a link to this post, so that we could recall the case immediately.
