    Hi,

we sell some products for 0 € on our shop and with the current version (1.7.1) the PayPal button doesn’t appear on the checkout page. If we change the product price to 1,- € it works.

The thing is, that the customer has to pay the shipping and the total amount of the order is not 0 €, it is eg. 5 €. If the total amount of the order is 0 €, then I can understand why the PayPal button is not displayed …

We have disabled all plugins except WooCommerce and this plugin. We also switched the theme to Twenty Twenty-Two … It still doesn’t work. So we have downgraded this plugin to version 1.7.0 and now it works as expected.

Maybe you can fix this for the next version ??

    Thank you.

    Hi @schweizersolutions,

Yes, update 1.7.1 added logic to disable the smart buttons on free products as the button would also display on the single product page which does not work in a default setup.
But as you reported, the added logic may not work as intended when there are no other products but shipping costs or other fees that would enable a payment for the free product.
This issue on GitHub has a linked PR with the proposed solution: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/issues/606
But this will likely follow with the 1.8.1 update since this requires more testing and the update 1.8.0 is about to be released. A new pre-release version with the above-mentioned fix should be available sometime in early May.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
