• Dear all,

I am currently using the Customizr theme for a website with responsive capabilities. However, the beautiful button mouse-over effect (attached to each of the 3 large buttons on the main page) does not work, apparently, on small screens…

Here are two pictures demonstrating the issue:

What do you think? Thanks in advance for your attention!

    Best regards,

    David.

  • It’s working to a point on my iPhone4.

Can’t make out the size of your Featured Images in Firebug. They need to be 270x250px to work properly on all device-sizes

    Thanks rdellconsulting for the feedback!

My second screenshot was made using Google Chrome with an approximate equivalent of a smartphone screen size… However, before writing my post, I also tried on an iPhone 5, and the bug was showing up there too.

Regarding the size of my “feature images”, they are exactly 270×250 pixels, as required. This is puzzling.

It “works”, in fact, since the buttons are functional, but as you can notice on the second screenshot, the nice CSS effect (an animation of a second circle growing around the first) does not work! It seems to be partially hidden, somehow.

What do you think? Thanks in advance.

OK, let’s try some basic diagnosis. Looks like you have a simple Child Theme style.css with code that doesn’t impact the zooming.

    2 classic things to try:

    1) Revert to the native Czr Theme and check it works. If it does (and it should) then we have either CSS conflict caused by your customization or more likely, a plugin.

    2) Deactivate all your plugins, test. If OK, then re-Activate each Plugin one-by-one to find the culprit. Let us know which one if I’m right.

Thanks a lot rdellconsulting for the feedback.

I have tried diagnosis #1 and #2 without any apparent changes: the animated circles nearly disappear on smartphone-size screens, even with the native Customizr theme and no plugins.

We have “addressed” this issue since we do not use the three buttons anymore! ?? However, the bug remains for others, I am afraid. Therefore, I let the topic open, if anyone wants to comment further on in the future.
