I think this might be a conflict with another plugin or your theme.

It’s sad that you are losing the 99% of people that don’t use storefront and or customize the checkout page (all page builders)

You may try the approach of Stripe or the Coinbase / Paypal way.

Did changing the theme to Storefront solve the problem?

Klarna Checkout worked as expected in my test environment using the same theme you are using (Hello Elementor theme Version: 2.5.0)
