Button Disabled Unless “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” is selected

I am currently using the free version of this product but am interested in upgrading to the professional. One issue I am having is that the waitlist button and form do not appear if I have selected “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” in Woocommerce’s inventory settings. The problem is I would like to have that setting selected so that customers can visually identify out of stock variations prior to selecting them. How can we trigger the waitlist button for out of stock variationse even with Woocommerce “hiding” those items?
