I have a client using the Virtue Child Theme with Easy Digital Downloads. She wants the EDD buttons to be a specific color, #693069.

When I input the CSS in her theme options it does not change the EDD button colors.

I have used .edd-submit as well as .edd-go-to-checkout. These are clearly incorrect.

Is there an id name(s) for the EDD buttons that I should be using instead? It seems like this should be a really simple CSS fix and I am stumped. Embarrassed, too. Lol.

Thank you for any guidance you can provide,

    Meagan

    Meagan,

Try adding !important to your style declarations. Does that work?

    Hi,

When I try to add CSS to the theme’s CSS stylesheet I am unclear what name I should even be using for these buttons in order to change the CSS styling. Is it .edd-submit or is it .edd-go-to-checkout or is it something else? I’m happy to add !important to see if it works – I just need clarification on what “id” you have given the different buttons so I can give it a try.

I did go into the pages themselves.
Below is the shortcode for the button on one of the pages. When I try to change the color here to either “purple” or “#693069″ – the button just turns gray.

    [purchase_link id=”9387″ text=”BUY NOW” style=”button” color=”blue”]

Would you be able to provide me with the correct “Id” for the buttons? I can play around with the CSS and see if I can make the color change.

    Thank you,

    Meagan
