    Hi,
After running the “SETUP WIZARD” found 3 error inside “BulletProof Security Core Files Setup” tab .

    As follows:

Error: Unable to create or update File /home/xxxxxx/forums.xxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/admin/login/.htaccess

Error: Unable to create or update File /home/xxxxxx/forums.xxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/admin/core/.htaccess

Error: Unable to create or update File /home/xxxxxx/forums.xxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/admin/wizard/.htaccess

Is this issue normal ? I mean can be ignored or needs to be solved ?

  • Yep, you can just ignore those error messages. If you want to dig a little deeper and try to figure this problem out then ask your host support to check your server log files for any error messages, which may give a clue to why this is happening on your website/server. It is possible that your web host limits where htaccess files can be created under your website/server folders. I can’t think of any other possible causes for why this problem is occurring.

It would be complicated to manually create the htaccess files since the Setup Wizard creates different htaccess code depending on your particular server. So at this point just ignore the errors. They are insignificant/unimportant.

One more question, please check this screenshot : https://i.imgur.com/rkI0UMT.png
Are these red things normal or not ?

The mod security red text just means that you have mod security enabled on your website. If you are not experiencing any problems then nothing needs to be done. The PHP config red text are recommendations. ie red text means it is recommended that you change that PHP config setting in your website’s custom php.ini file. Most folks have not created a custom php.ini file. If you would like to create one then check your web host’s help pages. Custom php.ini files are not a “one size fits all” kind of thing.
