• Hey,

I recently picked up a job to help someone with email marketing. They want 1 email sent per day.

I feel the easiest way to do this would be to create an RSS Automation campaign in Mailchimp, so whenever a new blog post is posted, it automatically sends that post as an email to all the subscribers.

I have all of the emails/blog posts saved in a spreadsheet….so my question is – Is there a way to upload that spreadsheet to WordPress, and schedule the 1 post per day??

  • Hi @dotwreck,

if you have the emails and post saved in a spreadsheet, in my opinion, it looks like a better idea to just send them from Mailchimp, though the Newsletter plugin should help with that.

Regarding the Automattic email on post publish, you should check out this Mailchimp guide on that. The Newsletter plugin I suggested earlier also has that feature – which is perfect if you want to do everything within WordPress.

Also, Jetpack subscriptions notifies subscribers when a new blog post is published. WordPress Email Subscribers & Newsletters plugin also works well for that.

You may want to stick with the newsletter plugin to reduce the number of plugins you’d have to use.

Let me know if this helps.

@sukafia That “Newsletter” plugin seems promising..

I see it has built in auto-responder, so that might eliminate the need for MailChimp..

Awesome! I am glad to know that works for you.

If that’s all, please mark this topic as resolved to help others in the future. Cheers!
