Bulk Updating Product Page Templates

Hi,

I’ve like to be able to bulk update/edit all of my simple products to change them from the default page template to a two-coloum layout.

This must be possible through some kind of SQL query…

This page shows how it can be done for posts & pages but it doesn’t seem to be an option for products:

If anyone knows how it could be done or has any suggestions to get me started that would be really helpful ??
