    Hi there,

I only just discovered there was a “Brand” attribute on the Facebook tab for each product.

I am not 200 deep into uploading products.

Can you advise how I can bulk update this field from the brand used by “Perfect Brands” plugin?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @machine1,

Can you advise how I can bulk update this field from the brand used by “Perfect Brands” plugin?

Is “Perfect Brands” a third party plugin you are using to add brands to your products?

If yes, you may want to test the compatibility of the plugin with our Facebook for WooCommerce extension by creating a product with the plugin then export the template, add 1 or 2 more products to the CSV then import it again to your store and see if Facebook for WooCommerce can access the brand.

You may also want to just check this out with the plugin developers.

    Thanks!

    Apologies on the late response.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by the export/import.
The products were created in Woocommerce itself. The “Perfect Brands” plugin adds a new “brands” field, which I have populated with the brand name.
How can I determine if Facebook for Woocommerce can “access” the brand?

    Hi @machine1

I’m not quite sure what you mean by the export/import.
The products were created in Woocommerce itself. The “Perfect Brands” plugin adds a new “brands” field, which I have populated with the brand name.

You will first need to create a product that includes a Brand. Once this is done, you can export a CSV file from Products> Select the newly created product and click on Export https://d.pr/i/8xfTde

From the CSV file you can check if the Brand column is there, if it is then it will be safe to export a complete list of products and bulk edit the Brand.

After this is done, you can easily import the CSV file back from Products> Import.

How can I determine if Facebook for Woocommerce can “access” the brand?

Once the products are synced to Facebook, there should be a new field either on the product description or tags within Facebook that should list the brand.

Since this is a third party plugin you are using, we cannot guarantee it will be compatible. Best will be to heck with the plugin developer to confirm the details are grabbed or if these can be synced to Facebook.
