• Hi,
Is it possible to bulk update only specific fields of existing products?
e.g: My permalink products have been changed. Now i need to update all of those products in my catalogs with the new link.
I know i can upload new products but my question is can i bulk update existing product? Or i should delete all and upload all over again… hopefully not..

    Thanks,
    Amir

  • I posted a feature request of this kind 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I had the idea to use the Excel-layout and add a 2 columns behind the last existing column (when there is no value in the column “add” is taken as action to keep compatibility).

-The first of the 2 columns has 3 values “add” “update” and “remove”
-The second column takes the existing UPCP product ID and is only available in “add” or “update” mode

-When using “add” mode, the column with the product ID is ignored
-When using “update” mode, the article is updated with the attributes in the row
-When using “remove” only the UPCP product ID is taken, the rest of the columns are ignored

This approach would make it possible to keep backward compatibility with the existing layout and further to modify and remove products.

As an extra, you could add “remove-i” mode which also removes the images for the article.

OK to be honest this looks no like a task that can be done in 5 minutes but it would make the plugin more flexible (paid customers only) ??
