• Hello,

I set up the plugin and works great, thank you so much! I’m having one problem though – clicking on “Bulk offload” under the “Info & stats” settings returns “No new images to process”. I can offload images one by one via the media library, but is there a way to bulk offload the entire media library?

I don’t have that many (~100) and can do it manually one by one, but wondered if there’s an easier way.

One more separate issue, it doesn’t seem to replace URLs of offloaded images that were placed in background image CSS (using Elementor).

See url linked in first post and first image in the background there. I also offloaded it using “Parse page for images” settings enabled.

    Hi @danielk000,

For the bulk offload issue. Can you please try to go to Media – Offload Settings and click “Reset ignored images” button in the “Service tools” module. That should reset any errors and allow you to bulk offload.

For the background image. I’ve checked the first image on the page, and it seems to be offloaded correctly. In general, for background images, it’s often possible to add some sort of fix, but this is something that I need to test on a case-by-case basis. If you could provide some steps I can follow to replicate, I can try to work out a fix.

    Best regards,
    Anton

Thank you for the reply, Anton! I hit?the “Reset ignored images” and am still unable to bulk offload. It flashes “Processing first image” and then quickly shows up a warning “No new images to process”. Tried the logging feature as well, but doesn’t show anything new or useful in the logs. Could it be because my first item in the media library is not a supported format (a pdf file)?

Might be helpful to add a bulk offload functionality within the media library dropdown as well. (Not just filters.)

I updated this page design with the image now not in the background, but rather a static one with an absolute position so it loads fine. (I was curious to measure performance.) I also checked the same page’s translations, which I haven’t touched, and it seem the background image now loads fine! There may have been a caching issue (even though I purged it a few times).

Yeah, it actually can be that. Can you try to add the _cloudflare_image_skip meta value set to 1 for the PDF? If you don’t know how to do that – no problem, I’ll test this on my local setup. But the above meta should exclude the PDF.

Also, please try this beta version: https://github.com/av3nger/cf-images/releases/tag/1.9.4-beta.1
It has the media library dropdown + the logging is improved for bulk actions. So logs should now be more informative.

Cloudflare Images are great when you hit the cached version. They become bad for images that are not accessed frequently. Non-cached versions take a second or two to load.

    Best regards,
    Anton
