  • There’s a quality setting in the Imsanity settings page – maybe you could adjust that down?

The actual image processing is done by GD so I’m not 100% sure what that setting does, I just know it’s a parameter that you pass in with a value from 1 to 100.

    Hi Jason,

Yes, I know there is a setting for JPG compression (quality) but when I’m using bulk resize it just doesn’t seem to use this parameter. You can check if you’re using it in bulk mode?

    Thanks anyway ??

Both bulk and single image resize do pass the quality setting through. That’s pretty much the only option that WordPress provides for controlling quality.

You can configure WordPress to use ImageMagick instead of GD (which can be somewhat tricky, and I have not personally done it) but it is supposed to result in much better image processing. So – that might be a possible solution..?

I wrote a script myself for resizing already uploaded images, so I don’t need the bulk feature anymore ??

    Thanks for a prompt reply.
