Bulk Edit Status in 3.2.1

  • We just started a new review process on our blog that puts post in a pending review status until they are approved. At that point, the person is supposed to be able to bring up the list of pending posts, select all, and bulk edit them to change the status. Unfortunately, even though it says it updated the posts, the status remains “pending review” on those posts. I have no idea whether this worked before. I thought WP Super Cache might be interfering, but even after inactivating, it still does not change the status in the bulk edit. Ideas?

  • Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
