When I try to bulk edit the status of posts (change from Draft to Published) WordPress is changing the Author to the author of the first post. I can’t change the author box to ‘no-change’. I’m not using any Bulk Edit Plugin for this, just WordPress.

To be clear: When I go into the bulk edit screen, all the fields are set to -No Change- except the ‘Author’ field which has the name of the author of the first post chosen. If I change the status to ‘Published’ the author’s name of all the posts is changed to the author of the first post.

Any help here would be most welcome.

I used the health checker and there are no critical issues with the website.

The built in health check and the plugin are not the same thing… please install the plugin I mentioned in my last post and use debug mode.

Using the troubleshooter I started to disable each plugin in turn. The culprit was Orbisius bbPress Enhancer – which I have now de-activated and the bulk edit is now working. The troubleshooter is an excellent tool.
