Bulk edit of Alt text for images

  • Does anyone know of a useful plugin that allows bulk or auto addition of alt text to images. its a pain having to edit them all individually and the only plugins ive found are well out of date

  • Alt text is used to describe the image for screen readers. There is no plugin that can do that for you.

    you sure? theres lots of plugins claim it but all the ones ive found havent been updated for nearly a year so I dont want to install them

    The purpose of an alt tag is to describe the image to the blind using screen readers or if the image fails to load. The plugins that bulk edit the alt tags have been abandoned because it is poor practice to pollute the alt tags with keywords.

    Alt tags should be written per image to describe the image’s content.
